Which Foundation Formula Is Right For Your Skin?

Posted by Alima Pure Blog on 7th Aug 2017

Curious about which foundation formula is most suited for your unique skin/lifestyle/makeup-related energy level? We'll walk you through it.

The good news: all three of our foundation formulas are incredibly lightweight and buildable, which means that even with extra layers for more coverage, they still look natural. They each have an extensive range of shades, too. There are a few proposed considerations to mull over when you're choosing a new foundation...

Mostly Blue Answers?

Try Liquid Silk Foundation. It's deeply moisturizing formula that's sheer and flexible, so one shade matches many skin tones. It's designed to pair with Cream Concealer if you want a little extra coverage in certain areas. We love Liquid Silk Foundation for buildable, smoothing coverage that leaves a lightly dewy finish. You can always amp up the glow with Highlighter too!

Mostly Green Answers?

Try our Pressed Foundation with Rosehip Antioxidant Complex. Its refillable compact is ideal for those of us who live life on-the-go, applying makeup at stoplights (please, don't blend and drive!), and who love to be put together with three products or less. Give us Pressed Foundation, a Lip Tint and Pressed Eyeshadow and we're all set. With a soft matte finish that's gently restorative, it's a great pick for combination skin.

Mostly Pink Answers?

Satin Matte Foundation--our Old Faithful, Holy Grail foundation is a classic for a reason. With just 4 pure ingredients, it's gentle on sensitive or breakout-prone skin, and its range of 45 shades matches just about everyone. It builds beautifully for fuller coverage, leaves a natural matte finish, and feels totally weightless on your skin.

Mixed Answers?

It sounds like they'd all work well for you. Some of us prefer liquid formulas, while others prefer to keep the ingredient list as short as possible. Our tip? Try pairing Liquid Silk Foundation with a powder foundation over the top for longer-lasting, fuller coverage.
